Board members said the purchases policy change will shift most district purchasing cards from individually issued cards to department-level cards and adds language authorizing occasional single‑day charges above $250 for items such as utility bills. Dr. Janelle McDonald, the district treasurer, told the board the district has been reducing the number of individual cards and moving to departmental cards to improve oversight.
