Board approves advertisement for policy revisions, adds finance director to CFO references

The Hardee County School Board approved on July 10 the proposed advertisement in the Herald Advocate for board policies the district proposes to revise, add, delete or reject and recommended a public hearing for final adoption on Aug. 28, 2025.
During discussion, a board member asked to add the finance director to policy language that previously referenced the district CFO. Dr. Albritton said she had searched the policy text and added "finance director" wherever "CFO" appeared to reflect the requested change. The board recorded the amendment in the meeting record and proceeded with the motion.
The board approved the advertisement for publication on July 17, 2025, and scheduled the public hearing for Aug. 28, 2025. The item passed on a recorded vote with Dr. Sharp, Andrew Smith, Miss Dasher, Miss Cornell and Chairman Galyard voting aye.
