The formal motion approved district-level contributions: District 3 contributed $5,000, District 4 contributed $1,000 and District 2 contributed $1,000. The commission moved and seconded a public-purpose designation to permit the disbursement and approved it by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Staff indicated there is no existing budget line specifically for these tournament costs and that the items will be handled as a public-purpose allocation; commissioners asked that recipients acknowledge the City of Sanford as sponsor in any publicity materials.
