The City Commission reviewed a staff-submitted set of revised architectural elevations for the Sales at Lake Monroe (known as Vista) at 1100 East First Street and voted to continue the item to the next regular meeting after the applicant failed to appear.
Staff described the item as quasi-judicial and noted there was no recommendation other than that the commission review the drawings and advise staff on compliance or further revisions. Commissioners and staff said the applicant had been asked to attend to explain design changes and that the commission felt it could not make a full determination without the plans and the applicant’s explanation.
Commissioners discussed specific questions including whether the latest plans showed portions of the building raised above ground level; staff asked for a continuance so the applicant can present and answer technical questions. The motion to continue to the next meeting passed unanimously.
