Planning commission approves minutes; appoints volunteers to advisory roles

The Lake Oswego Planning Commission approved minutes for two prior meetings and registered volunteer representatives for two advisory roles during its July 28 session.
Minutes approvals: The commission approved the minutes from its June 9, 2025 meeting and the June 23, 2025 meeting. Both motions were made and seconded at the meeting; commissioners present answered "aye" and no opposition or abstentions were recorded on either item.
Appointments and volunteers: Commissioner Bruce volunteered to serve as the planning commission's nonvoting representative to the Neighborhood Coalition of Lake Oswego (NCLO) board, which oversees neighborhood-association insurance and typically meets once a year. Commissioners Rachel and James volunteered to serve as nonvoting planning commission representatives to the Foothills Community Advisory Committee (Foothills CAC), a two-year advisory appointment (Sept. 2025–June 2027) that will include approximately 10 in-person meetings.
No other formal votes were recorded during the meeting itself; the session otherwise included two work sessions (fair-housing policy and tree-regulation amendments) discussed in separate items.
