Planning commission to send fair-housing amendment to Sept. 8 public hearing

Lake Oswego planning commissioners agreed to advance a proposed comprehensive-plan amendment on fair housing to a public hearing on Sept. 8, staff said at the July 28 work session.
The proposed amendment would add a single policy to the Complete Neighborhoods and Housing chapter to explicitly state the city's commitment to affirmatively furthering fair housing and to describe, in general terms, how that commitment applies when staff and the commission review future land-use and code amendments.
