State agrees to contribute $51,850 to Milford 600 North drainage project; cooperative agreement planned

Staff said they are working with Justin Christiansen on a draft cooperative agreement and plan to place the agreement on the council’s August agenda. The project is intended to improve conveyance of water across Highway 257 and through the city’s drainage system; staff said securing easements will be part of the next steps.
The report noted prior discussions with UDOT and described the state as “eager to help” with the project. Staff described the contribution amount and said the draft agreement will return to the council for approval once finalized. No final project schedule or contractor procurement was presented at the meeting.
Council asked staff to proceed with the cooperative-agreement process and to return with final documentation for council action in August.
