Staff said the ordinance package includes four attachments: the State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) listing for the property, a map consistent with SDAT, the survey used for annexation, and an existing zoning pattern map showing M-1 and B-2 zoning. Staff noted the mayor and council initiated the rezoning request and the planning commission had previously seen the ordinances at prior meetings. No concept plan had been submitted; staff said the council wants the PRD overlay available so a future developer could tie a concept plan to the PRD and save time and expense.
Public hearing and vote: the commission opened the public hearing, heard no public comment, closed the hearing and on voice vote recommended sending the ordinance to the mayor and council for further action.
Next steps: the city council will consider first and second readings and public hearings if it chooses to proceed.
