The Commissioners Court on July 16 designated Commissioner Michael Rasca as the court's liaison to Grimes County 9-1-1 addressing, permits and environmental departments and reappointed Mayor Bert Miller to the Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG) board for a three-year term.
Commissioner David Tullis moved to designate Rasca as liaison; Commissioner Philip Cox seconded and the motion carried by voice vote. Rasca said he had spoken with department staff and was willing to accept the assignment.
On a separate item, the court moved to reappoint Mayor Bert Miller to the BVCOG board for a three-year term beginning Oct. 1, 2025 and ending Sept. 30, 2028. Commissioner Philip Cox made the motion; Commissioner Chad Mallett seconded and the motion carried.
Ending: The county clerk was asked to notify BVCOG staff so the reappointment can be placed on the COG agenda and processed.
