Wauwatosa committee approves parade and event permits, a liquor license application and a resolution urging state change to temporary beer licenses

The Wauwatosa City Government Affairs Committee on July 15 approved seven routine permits and applications and voted to forward a resolution to state lawmakers asking them to broaden temporary beer-license authority for nonprofit and community events.

The committee approved: a fireworks-user permit for the Wauwatosa School District’s Tosa West Homecoming; a special-event permit for Tosa Fest (Sept. 5–6) in the Village area; a reserve class B liquor license application for the Milner Building operator; temporary extensions of licensed premises for Cafe Hollander and Walters North to allow alcohol service at specific events; appointment of a successor agent for Maggiano’s Little Italy; and a resolution urging the Wisconsin Legislature to amend Wis. Stat. §125.511 to expand municipal authority for temporary beer licenses.
