Council approves Barksdale Phase 3 zoning change, 3-2

Griffin, executive director of development services, said this is the second reading of zoning case Z-25-0166; council had previously approved annexation on the consent agenda. The item required a second reading because the prior vote was not unanimous.
After brief comment from council members about consistency on lot widths, a motion to approve the ordinance carried 3–2. The ordinance amends existing interim SFR-1B single-family zoning to a mix of single-family compact (SFC), single-family urban (SFU-2) and single-family suburban (SFS) on the three parcels listed on the posted agenda.
Council did not specify an ordinance number or additional conditions in the public discussion. No speakers from the applicant offered new materials at the second reading, and the council did not revisit annexation conditions, which had been approved earlier on the consent agenda.
Mayor Christine Delisle closed discussion and the council recorded a 3–2 vote to adopt the second reading as posted on the agenda.
