Supervisors said the change reflects practical constraints in filling seats on the assessment appeals body and would allow the county to appoint people with local knowledge, including agents with relevant experience. The board voted to waive full reading of the ordinance by title and continued the matter to July 22, 2025, for final passage. The motion passed 4-0 with Supervisor Lane absent.
