During the July 16 meeting, Pike County commissioners authorized several administrative actions: a three‑month extension for a cooperative block grant, intergovernmental agreements with neighboring counties, agreements with veterans' services and multiple payment vouchers.
The board authorized the chairman to execute a three‑month extension letter for a cooperative block grant in the amount of $214,066, with a new deadline of Sept. 30, 2025, on behalf of the county's Area Agency on Aging. Commissioners also authorized an intergovernmental renewal agreement between Monroe County and Pike County on behalf of the Office of Human Services.
The board approved a memorandum of agreement with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Middletown Vet Center and the county on behalf of the Veterans Affairs Office, and authorized the chairman to execute a revocable license permitting use of property by the VA readjustment counseling service Middletown Vet Center.
On payments, the board approved a general fund and county bills payment totaling $299,797.01 and approved a Gypsy Law Fund payment of $2,760.18. The commissioners approved an Affordable Housing Fund voucher for $1,545 on behalf of the Office of Human Services. Additional human‑services vouchers approved included E‑Wrap 2 for $7,280.39; Human Services Development Fund for $10,239.81; Fair for $1,548.68; and the State Food Purchase Program for $796.86.
