The Valley Center City Council on July 18 approved second reading of Ordinance 14‑28‑25 to annex roughly 30.46 acres along Interurban. City staff said this annexation is related to the same development area discussed earlier and will be combined into plats for future single‑family residential development.
Staff confirmed the annexed areas can be served by city utilities and that the legal descriptions cover the two tracks identified in the ordinance. Council members asked about north and south boundaries and staff clarified which parcels were included in the legal description.
The council approved second reading and carried the motion unanimously. City staff said the annexed acreage will be consolidated in upcoming platting steps and utility extensions will be planned as those engineering documents are completed.
