City to release northern easement at Pheasant Run Phase 2; informational update to commission

Gary (city attorney) and staff briefed the Planning Commission on a planned administrative release of an easement that runs along the north boundary of Pheasant Run Subdivision Phase 2.
Gary explained the easement originally served an open irrigation ditch and provided maintenance access. Developers for property to the north have relocated the ditch into a pipe and the easement is no longer required for water maintenance. City staff said they will record a release of easement for the affected Phase 2 lots and the City Council will be asked to approve the release as an administrative matter.
The presentation was informational; no motion or recommendation from the Planning Commission was required. Staff said Phase 1 will follow with similar releases as development proceeds and the city recorder’s office has confirmed the release can be recorded as a single document covering the affected lots.
