Town officials said Pierce recently worked in Orange County’s county attorney’s office and is a recent graduate of NC State and Campbell Law School. Pierce was publicly welcomed by the mayor and council members.
The meeting adjourned shortly after the closed-session report; staff said any necessary follow-up would be handled by the town attorney and manager’s office and brought to council as appropriate.
