The Bettendorf City Council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the 100% voluntary annexation of 0.29 acres of private property from Davenport into Bettendorf at its July 15 meeting.
Mark Hunt, director of community development, told council that the annexation is a boundary cleanup after a prior realignment of Forest Grove Drive left a portion of a homeowner’s yard inside Davenport. Hunt said the transfer would align the lot and house wholly within Bettendorf. After the council vote, Hunt said the action would go to the city development board for approval.
Council member Baden moved approval of the resolution; the motion passed unanimously on a roll-call vote. City staff reported no written correspondence and no members of the public spoke at the hearing.
The annexation affects a single residential property and was described by staff as a technical corporate boundary adjustment related to prior right-of-way work.
