Coastal Transplants reports completed mitigation at 8454 The Shores; vegetation settling in

Steve Mercer, representing Coastal Transplants, told the board the mitigation project at 8454 in The Shores was completed about six weeks ago and vegetation is beginning to establish.
“We put in almost 80 cubic yards more than what was requested or on the plans. And we've got some really nice dune sculpture out there and we're just waiting on the plants to grow in,” Mercer said, adding that recent rain and fertilizer should help growth.
Mercer offered the update during the public comment portion of the meeting; no board action was taken on the item during the meeting.
