The City of Cody City Council approved on first reading an ordinance to increase the stormwater drainage utility base rate from $5.45 to $5.70 per month.
Philip Bowman, staff reference, said the rate change implements revenue assumptions made in the fiscal year 2026 budget process. He said the increase is "an actual increase of approximately 4.6%" and will amount to a 25-cent monthly increase for residential accounts (about $3 per year). If adopted on second reading, the rate would apply beginning with the September billing cycle.
The motion to approve the ordinance on first reading was moved by Council Member Tamlin, seconded by Council Member Isaac, and carried on a voice vote with council members voting "Aye."
