UNIFIL found two unauthorized weapons caches in its area of operations; one reportedly contained detonation cord and another contained mortars and anti‑personnel mines. Following standard procedure, the caches were referred to the Lebanese Armed Forces for disposal.
The UN spokesperson urged all parties to uphold the cessation of hostilities, refrain from actions that endanger civilians, and noted that UNIFIL is committed to impartial monitoring and reporting of violations of Security Council Resolution 1701.
