County Manager Mister Trout reported that a mobile pharmacy event on June 20 provided over-the-counter medications to 1,034 residents at no cost; Alliance Health cosponsored the event and helped finance medications, Trout said.
Later in the meeting, a commissioner moved that the board go into closed session to discuss a personnel matter pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a)(6). The motion was seconded, the board voted in favor ("Aye" recorded), and the board entered closed session. After returning from closed session, the board moved to adjourn; a motion and second were recorded and the chairman closed the meeting at the sound of the gavel.
No details of the personnel matter were disclosed in open session; the transcript records motions, second and a brief open-session vote to enter closed session and the subsequent motion to adjourn.
