The grant is designated to support efforts to “reduce and mitigate the impact of impaired driving in local communities,” the agenda item summary said. Police staff stated there was no formal presentation on the item at the meeting; the police chief was available for questions.
Councilmember motioned and seconded the item and the motion passed by roll call. The roll call recorded affirmative votes from Councilmembers Alcidarian, Garpetian, Kosakian, Brotman and Mayor Ara Najarian. City staff will proceed with the agreement execution and grant implementation steps.
Next steps: the city manager was authorized to execute the agreement and Community Development/Police staff will proceed with implementing grant-funded activities consistent with the CHP program guidelines and the executed agreement.
