The Osage County Commission on July 15 approved the county’s annual $5,000 membership contribution to the Lake Region Solid Waste Authority for the 2026 budget year and appointed Trisha Webb as the county’s alternate committee representative.
County Clerk Michelle Morris presented the Lake Region materials, which the clerk characterized as a membership fee that has been budgeted in the county’s bridge. The authority’s overall proposed budget listed $35,000 as the aggregate amount, reflecting $5,000 from each member county; Osage County’s share was confirmed as $5,000.
Morris also said Lake Region identified an alternate to replace a prior member and recommended the appointment of Trisha Webb. Commissioners moved and seconded approval of the budget proposal and the appointment; the motions passed on voice votes. Morris noted the appointment did not require a signature document at the meeting.
Motion and vote: The commission moved to approve the Lake Region Solid Waste Authority 2026 budget proposal (county dues $5,000) and to approve the appointment of Trisha Webb as the alternate member; both motions passed by voice vote.
