"I would be asking for 2 week abeyance just to so that I can be a 100 sure that the bill is the way it's supposed to be written," she said.
The chair set the recommending-committee abeyance date for August 4, and members voted to hold the item until that meeting. Staff and law-enforcement representatives were present for the item; no public comment was recorded on this matter.
