Commissioner Carter moved to waive the electrical reconnection fee for 90 days and to amend the Unified Development Ordinance to waive the temporary‑dwelling inspection fees for storm recovery; the motion, as amended, passed unanimously.
Emergency services and county staff briefed the board on response and recovery operations. County staff said 84 preliminary damage assessments have been completed to support requests for state and federal assistance and that a county call center established at the FJC basement is operating 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday to help residents access disaster resources and to coordinate legitimate volunteer organizations.
