The U.N. said assessments are ongoing in about 60 communities and initial reports indicate hundreds displaced, destroyed agricultural land and damage to critical infrastructure, with calls for urgent additional support.
U.N. humanitarian colleagues said timely and flexible funding is critical to saving lives and protecting livelihoods in affected communities.
