Library board elects officers, agrees to retain role email inboxes during transitions

The West Fargo Library Board nominated and approved new officers during the meeting. Leanne Hanson was nominated and the board approved her as president (the role takes effect once she is notified, per Robert's Rules as explained at the meeting). Robin Anderson was nominated and approved as vice president. Tony Stuckel was nominated and approved as treasurer.
Board members discussed how role-based email addresses have been handled: in previous practice, position-based inboxes (for example, libraryboardpresident@westfargond.gov) follow the office rather than the individual. The board asked staff to retain the contents of the inboxes and to coordinate with IT to implement an alias or transfer approach that keeps historical records while allowing the current officer to receive mail. Staff said they will open a help ticket with IT and follow up on login and alias logistics.
The board also clarified that staff (Alicia and Ellen) take meeting minutes and that the vice president has typically reviewed minutes; the board agreed to continue combining the secretary and vice-president duties in practice while staff handle minute-taking.
All officer votes were taken by voice; the board did not perform a roll-call vote. The meeting adjourned after the elections and follow-up items were assigned.
