Library board to review adult services manager vacancy; staff will reassess position before rehiring

The West Fargo Library Board heard that the adult services manager has resigned and that staff will meet with managers on July 21 to intentionally reassess whether to refill the position or change its structure.
The director said because the adult services manager is a high-cost, senior role it is prudent to evaluate whether to rehire immediately or consider alternatives. Board members urged the library to highlight adult programming and services as the library develops leadership plans for the role.
The meeting produced no formal decision; staff will report back with the results of the management-team discussion and any recommendation to the board.
