McCall council approves resort-city specialty liquor license application for Pueblo Lindo LLC

The McCall City Council approved a motion endorsing Pueblo Lindo LLC’s application to the state Alcohol Beverage Control Division for a resort-city restaurant specialty liquor license. City clerk Bessie Jo Wagner said the restaurant understands the license conditions, including that 60% of sales must be food to retain the license and that the license is not transferable.
Wagner told the council that the license became available after a previous holder (identified in the discussion as “6 3 4”) closed and the next qualified applicant in line became eligible. Council members noted that recent state legislation allowing resort-city specialty licenses appears to be functioning as intended across other Idaho resort cities.
The council approved the city endorsement by roll call. Council member Nelson, Council member Nielsen, Mayor Giles, Council member Machesek and Council member Thrower all voted yes.
No city conditions or funding were attached to the endorsement; the clerk said Pueblo Lindo representatives had been informed of the ABC rules for the specialty license.
