Pleasant View Planning Commission on July 10 recommended that the City Council approve a technical correction and small expansion of a recent general-plan amendment affecting property roughly at 475 West Pleasant View Drive.
Staff explained the action is a cleanup item tied to an earlier general-plan amendment and rezone. Tammy said earlier reviews revealed a discrepancy in the legal description and lot lines separating two plan-designation areas; the current application adds an additional 0.17 acres to the area reclassified from Agriculture A-2 (one dwelling per two acres) to medium-low density residential (4–8 dwelling units per acre). The applicant and staff described the change as a boundary correction to ensure the general plan and legal descriptions match.
Jeff Lee, who identified himself as the petitioner, attended and did not raise objections. The commission opened and closed the public hearing with no public testimony. Commissioners described the change as a cleanup to line work and moved to recommend approval to City Council. Commissioner Chad moved that recommendation; another commissioner seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
A related rezone hearing for the same 0.17-acre addition — changing zoning from A-2 to LSFR — was also presented and the commission voted unanimously to recommend council approval. Staff told the commission everything else in the application appears in order.
Staff flagged no outstanding concerns; the commission’s favorable recommendation forwards the corrected legal description and the small parcel addition to the City Council for formal amendment of the general plan and associated rezone.
