The Pleasant View Planning Commission voted to approve a subdivision lot-line adjustment and a site-plan amendment for ARW Engineering’s facility at 1594 West Park Circle on July 10.
Commission staff described the agenda item as two linked actions: a small boundary adjustment to acquire a corner of adjacent property and a site-plan amendment to add building area and parking stalls. Tammy, a city planning staff member, told commissioners the application met setback and parking requirements for office use and that engineering had requested a few minor items be supplied before final sign-off.
Jason Thompson, who identified himself as the project engineer, described the change as straightforward: “Basically, there’s some portion of the property that’s just, you know, underused because of the shape of the land … with the addition to the existing building and needing some more parking, it just made sense to utilize that property.”
Commissioner Dean moved to approve the lot-line amendment; Commissioner Chad seconded. The commission approved the lot-line amendment unanimously. Commissioners later voted unanimously to approve the site-plan amendment, with the motion specifying that the applicant must satisfy the engineering recommendations identified in the staff memo before final administrative sign-off.
The lot encompasses about 2.07 acres; staff said parking requirements for the proposed additional office space are met, and screening is provided for dumpsters. The approval includes standard conditions requiring the applicant to address outstanding engineering comments and verify final dimensions and utility coordination through the city’s engineering review channel.
No public comments were offered specifically against the project during the meeting. With the actions approved, staff said they would verify the outstanding engineering items and finalize administrative documents that reflect the boundary change and the site-plan conditions.
