Council members conducted routine agenda review and approved the prior meeting minutes, discussed consent items and directed staff on event fee items during the agenda review session.
At the start of the meeting a council member moved to approve the 06/11/2025 regular meeting minutes; another member seconded the motion and the body voted to approve. “All those in favor, please raise your right hand. Motion carries,” the chair said.
Nut graf: Most items were left on consent or scheduled for consent voting at the regular meeting. Staff asked the council to leave proposed road races and a Miata History Center item on consent, but asked council to table fee changes for events to allow staff more time to resolve related issues.
Council members discussed whether to waive the second reading for a road-race item; staff explained the council must move to suspend the rules to waive a second reading, and that practice would be a suspension under council rules. For the fee chart, staff proposed tabling the fee chart and referring it to committee; council agreed there was "no objection" to tabling the item and taking it to committee when ready.
Ending: Staff said tabling will allow review with stakeholders and that the item will return on a future agenda when ready. No final fee amounts or committee assignment were specified in the session.
