Marietta police announce promotions and report full staffing; PAL celebration planned

The police chief announced that Lieutenant Gretchen Ingram was promoted to major and will supervise the morning watch and uniform patrol in Zone 1. “She’s been with us 26 years,” the chief said, citing her experience and training.

The police department also promoted the Marietta Police Athletic League end-of-summer celebration, scheduled for 6 p.m. at the recreation center on Lawrence Street, and encouraged councilmembers to attend.
