Cathedral City outlines permanent bollards, new checklists and tighter event logistics ahead of fall season

The review focused on preventing vehicle-borne threats, shoring up temporary-structure inspections and improving coordination with private security and mutual-aid partners. Hunt said staff plan to install permanent event bollards at strategic locations downtown and to harden weaknesses in the amphitheater parking structure. “Our goal is to get everything up by October 1,” he said, identifying that date as the target for the fall 2025 event season.
