Angola redevelopment commission reviews TIF map changes, cash position and project timeline

The Angola City Redevelopment Commission reviewed updates to its proposed tax-increment financing (TIF) district map, discussed early invoices and consultant contracts, and heard a staff report on the commission's current cash balance and next steps for outreach and applications.

Commission members said they restored some multifamily properties — including the apartments previously referred to as Terrace Ridge Apartments — back into the draft TIF boundary after consultant follow-up indicated those parcels would produce positive increment when included. Commissioners and staff stressed the map is still a draft and that final boundaries will be set through the remaining legal and public-notice steps required for a TIF district.

The discussion matters because the TIF boundary determines which parcels' future tax increases flow to redevelopment projects and therefore affects what infrastructure or incentives the commission could fund.
