Clerk‑Treasurer Michael Troxell summarized the solicitation process: "I did receive 5 back... Bank of America was the most responsive and and less costly at 3.88% for financing for 4 years." Billboard variance (BZA case 25‑6‑9, Lamar Advertising): The council approved a variance to permit a 10.5‑by‑36‑foot off‑premises advertising structure at 8016 U.S. 41, recommending landscaping around the sign base as a condition. Lamar representative Sean Pettit described prior sign removals in town and said the proposed structure would be static and illuminated; the council added the landscaping condition before approving. Approval was by voice vote; council indicated unanimous consent.
Acceptance of donations: The council accepted in‑kind and monetary donations collected in June for the animal control and police department and for National Night Out. Treasurer Michael Troxell provided a monthly breakdown; the total donations reported were $4,005.52 in monetary and $1,002.27 in in‑kind gifts (grand total reported as $4,005.52 78 in the minutes). The motion to accept donations carried 5–0.
