At the July 9 meeting the council reviewed a set of routine administrative items and smaller procurement and partnership matters.
Police vehicles: staff reported that an earlier competitive procurement covered 18 Chevrolet Tahoes for public safety, and that Caldwell County Chevrolet could fulfill the remaining order at the previously bid price. The remainder of the order — 15 Tahoes — was priced at $857,025 under the referenced bid. Staff asked council to approve purchase under the bid terms; no roll‑call vote was recorded during the July 9 briefing.
Transit safety plan: staff presented the Conroe Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) required by the Federal Transit Administration and included in the packet; staff described it as an annual housekeeping submittal and said it was routine.
Meals on Wheels: staff recommended a $35,000 allocation to Montgomery County Meals on Wheels and the Texas New Community Alliance for Section 5310 programs serving seniors and people with disabilities in the Conroe‑Woodlands urbanized area. Staff said Conroe’s contribution is the city’s routine annual grant into a regional pool.
Annexation/petition: Ms. Keska (staff) briefed the council that Stanley Lakes submitted a petition to annex 1.585 acres (a small food‑truck park on Highway 105 West) into the Stanley Lakes Municipal Utility District and to include it in a strategic partnership agreement; staff said the petition documents were complete and staff had no objection.
All items were presented for council consideration; staff fielded routine questions and said purchase and grant items would return on the consent agenda for formal action.
