New Juab High principal introduced to council; says he plans visible community presence

Todd Quarenberg introduced himself to Mona City Council as the new principal of Juab High School and described his approach to school leadership.
Quarenberg said he spent 35 years in Salt Lake City-area education before returning to the county and that he was raised on a farm in Scipio. He told the council he intends to be a visible principal who attends ball games, arts events and is available to community members: "You will see me at ball games... My door is open," he said.
Quarenberg discussed his support for four pillars of education he emphasized — academics, athletics, career and technical education (CTE) programs, and fine and performing arts — and said he aims to be accessible to families and residents. He told council members he plans to attend community events and encouraged residents to bring concerns to him.
Council members welcomed Quarenberg and thanked him for attending; no formal action was required.
