The change was presented by Calvin Tober, chief of staff for the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, who said the longer renewal period in the published resolution was a scribe error. "It was just a minor error with the resolution where we read as a 2 year option to renew, and it should be a 1 year option to renew for Summit Food Services," Tober said.
The correction concerns "Resolution 2024-071, retroactive amendment 5" to the county's contract with Summit Food Service, as noted at the meeting. Commissioners made and seconded a motion to approve the corrected language; the motion was recorded as carried.
