The commission’s acceptance covers the paved roadway, hammerhead turnaround and other improvements shown on the Phase 2 plat. Scott Hartman of the road department reviewed inspections and confirmed the department holds a cash warranty bond the county can use for repairs if defects arise. Hartman also advised that approvals and inspections are complete pending recordation of the drainage agreement.
Commission discussion touched on access limits for single-access streets under the fire code; staff said a single access can serve up to 30 dwelling units. A commissioner made the motion to accept the road “as presented by Matt Kazier.” The commission approved the motion by voice vote; multiple commissioners responded “Aye.”
The commission’s action indicates that the county will record its acceptance documentation only after the drainage agreement is fully executed and recorded, per staff direction. No change to the physical improvements or additional county-funded work was reported at the meeting.
