The South Gate City Council approved on Tuesday the city’s 2025–29 Consolidated Plan and the 2025–26 Annual Action Plan that lay out how the city will use federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships funds.
Carol Everbreed, the consultant presenting the plan, told the council this was the second public hearing for the consolidated plan and the annual action plan. “These plans outline how the city will allocate its CDBG and HOME Investment Partnership funds that are received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development,” she said, summarizing the program goals and the required elements: needs assessment, housing market analysis, a five‑year strategic plan and the annual action plan.
