The Bristol City Council approved a slate of appointments to boards and commissions and adopted the consent agenda on July 8, approving a package of routine resolutions and procurement actions.
Council confirmed Lonnie Barrett to the Better Property Board and Daniel Witcher to the Board of Code Appeals. Adrianna Cox and Tom Swadley were appointed to the Community Development Advisory Committee to fill an unexpired term and a full term, respectively. Matt Austin, Adam Dye and Eddie Wampler were appointed to the E-911 Emergency Communications Board. Colin Riggs and Sherry Willinger were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission. Malin Luttrell was appointed to the Planning Commission, and John Vann to the Power Board. Four appointments were recorded to the Tree Board.
The consent agenda approved by council included: resolution 25-74 (Tyler Technologies software support purchase), 25-75 (local government financial software support), 25-76 (interlocal agreement with Emergency Communications District), 25-77 (temporary use permit for Tennessee Hills Distillery at a festival), 25-78 (Microsoft Office 365 license renewal), 25-79 (submission of an application for a Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Recycling Convenience Center Grant), 25-80 (purchase of a refuse truck through Sourcewell), 25-81 (resurfacing of pickleball courts), 25-82 (annual actuarial valuation service agreement for other post-employment benefits), and 25-83 (awarding bid for automatic samplers for the sanitary sewer collection system). Council received no requests to pull items from the consent agenda before the vote.
Council voted unanimously to approve the consent agenda after a motion and second. Appointments were confirmed by individual roll calls recorded at the meeting.
