Town Manager Mike gave an update covering upcoming events, development activity, fiber installations and park projects.
He said town staff are coordinating with multiple fiber providers (Bridal Fiber, Gigapower and Windstream) and noted that companies must obtain town permission before using public rights-of-way; residents should contact engineering if fiber work damages yards. He also said two site plans for industrial development are under review: one at 600 Radiator Road and another at 74 Junction, a roughly 30-acre site with approximately 236,000 square feet proposed for light industrial use.
Mike said Crooked Creek Park has a new scoreboard installed and that the town is completing sidewalk repairs in Bonterra. He encouraged residents to watch for promotional information about a proposed "Indian Trail Day" at the Charlotte Knights baseball stadium and said the town will share ticketing and date details when available. He also reminded council that the next meeting is August 12 and that staff will present an end-of-year finance report at that meeting.
No action was required; items were presented for information and scheduling.
