Petersburg Borough staff warn applicants about scam emails; applications to be redacted during redesign

Planning staff warned applicants and the public that scam emails have been sent to recent applicants requesting additional payments or wiring of funds. Staff said the borough does not request money be wired and that any further solicitations should be treated as fraudulent.
Staff member Liz told the commission the borough is redesigning application forms and, until the redesign is complete, application packets being distributed have personal information redacted. Liz said the change aims to prevent personal data from appearing in publicly circulated packets.
Staff also announced the next commission meeting is scheduled for August 12 at noon and urged commissioners to try to attend so a quorum is present.
