Hoover hires Dr. Krissy Sayers as new principal at Hoover High School

The Hoover City Schools Board approved the recommendation to hire Dr. Krissy Sayers as the principal of Hoover High School and the district publicly introduced her at the meeting.
Mary Wilson formally introduced Dr. Sayers after the board approved personnel actions earlier in the meeting. The superintendent said Dr. Sayers has 32 years of experience in education and 14 years teaching previously with Hoover City Schools. "Doctor Sayers has 32 years of experience in education, and she spent 14 of those years teaching at Hoover City Schools," the superintendent said. The board approved the personnel report as part of the consent agenda earlier in the meeting.
Dr. Sayers addressed the board and audience, saying she was honored to lead Hoover High School and intends to emphasize the school's core principles of respect, responsibility and integrity. "It is an honor to lead Hoover High School ... I am thrilled to start that journey tomorrow at 07:00AM and do my very best every day," Sayers said.
District leaders thanked the search team for its work during the hiring process and said the appointment follows standard personnel procedures. The board approved the consent agenda, which included the personnel report, by voice vote.
