Planning commission approves multiple zoning map amendments as map maintenance

The Syracuse City Planning Commission recommended approval of a series of zoning map amendments to assign zone districts to parcels that previously lacked them. Items included Z-2902 (200 Salisbury Road), Z-2903 (204 Salisbury Road), Z-2904 (208 Salisbury Road) and other similar map-maintenance items.
Staff described the proposals as routine map-maintenance to assign pending zone district designations for parcels that do not currently have a district. Commissioners asked technical questions about permitting where parcels straddle municipal boundaries and staff said they will coordinate with the adjacent municipal permitting offices where needed.
For each parcel the commission reviewed EAF Part 1 and EAF Part 2 materials, determined that the actions would not have a moderate-to-large environmental impact and issued negative SEQR declarations. The commission then voted to recommend approval of each zoning map amendment to the Common Council with no special conditions beyond the general conditions (except where a county-filing condition was noted in separate items).
No members of the public spoke for or against these map-maintenance items during the hearing. The recommendations will be forwarded to the Common Council for final action.
