The Huron City Commission on July 7 approved a hold-harmless agreement between the Huron Public Library and the Wolsey Washington School District to allow placement of a library mailbox and book-return box on the sidewalk outside Wesley Washington School.
Library staff said the book return will serve both the school and the community and that books collected will be delivered to the library. Angela (last name not provided) and a staff member named Bailey briefed the commission. The draft agreement was prepared by the city legal office (referred to during the meeting as Gary Blue’s office) and returned signed by the school superintendent, city staff said.
The commission voted to authorize the mayor to sign the agreement.
