The Lake County Board of County Commissioners took several procedural votes July 1, including approval of an intergovernmental agreement to administer the coordinated 2025 election for the City of Leadville and ratification of the consent agenda.
Election IGA: The board approved an IGA with the City of Leadville specifying responsibilities, deadlines and cost sharing for the coordinated election to be held Nov. 4, 2025. Tracy Lartz, clerk and recorder, said the IGA is a state requirement that must be in place prior to the election and that attorneys for both entities were vetting the document. The motion passed on a recorded voice vote.
Consent agenda: The board approved the consent agenda, which the clerk said included ratification of an MOU for local-level interagency oversight groups involving Lake County Human Services; an MOU between Lake County and the High Mountain Institute for the Rockies Rock Adventure Camp backpacking trip; and ratification of an amendment to a professional services agreement with Wasavio House Workforce Services, as well as routine payroll items. The board approved the consent agenda by voice vote.
Other routine business: The board approved the day's meeting agenda as submitted with a minor change noted at the start of the session; staff reminded the public that meeting recordings and transcribed videos are available via the county's YouTube channel.
Ending: County staff said packet materials are available upon request and outlined the schedule for upcoming work sessions and hearings.
