Radici opens at Epic Central; owners promote seasonal Italian menu and private events

Tom Foley, co-owner and partner of Radici, described the new Italian restaurant Radici at Epic Central and said it emphasizes seasonal, family-style dishes and local community programming. Foley told the program that his partner is Tiffany Derry, a chef who has appeared on national cooking competitions, and that their concept ties to “roots” and family dining.

Radici is at 2979 South State Highway 161 in Epic Central, Foley said, and the restaurant is adjacent to Chicken and Pickle. Foley said hours are reservation seating beginning at 5 p.m., with the last reservations around 10 or 10:30 p.m.; the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Foley described menu highlights and his personal preference for a rigatoni with a spicy tomato profile and mentioned a lasagna inspired by Modena. He said the restaurant features a dining room and a private dining room that can seat “probably 35 or 40” people for private events. The space includes flexible tables and patio access for larger gatherings.

Foley said Radici and the team plan community-focused programming such as wine or balsamic tastings, cocktail- or mocktail-making experiences, and other events to engage residents. He described the restaurant’s design as intentionally movable to accommodate presentations or celebrations.

The host and Foley discussed the restaurant’s background and local reception; Foley said Grand Prairie’s development of Epic Central and support from city leaders made the location attractive for the business.
