Brad Abate, county staff, briefed the board on the Jetport Fuel Farm construction bid at the July 1 work session.
Abate said county staff received one responsive bid for the fuel farm project from Bridal Construction Company (the same contractor the county has used on other fuel farm projects). The total bid amount presented was $1,885,890. Abate said $1,758,509 of the cost would be covered by grant funding and the remaining $127,381 would be a local fund match.
Abate told the board most of the grant funding is federal through the Department of Aviation (DOA) and Airport Improvement grants; he noted the county had to draw on a listed "25 allotment" to cover the additional cost beyond original estimates. Commissioners had no further substantive objections and directed staff to add the award to the consent agenda for approval next week.
